Stainless Steel Bar

86L20 alloy steel, a triple alloy carburizing steel offering good ductility and durability. It has contained levels of molybdenum and chromium which give exceptional wear resistance and hardness.

This alloy steel grade is one of carburizing alloys mostly used for its strong tough core and high case hardness. The added lead content “L” plays significantly in adding a great finish, machinability, and tool life – it also boosts part production up to 25 percent. Heat treating procedures are used to help it achieve case depth and optimal hardness.

The additional lead content grants it with an improved machinability. In addition, the material is also alloyed with nickel which imparts ductility and good toughness while the molybdenum and chromium increase wearability and hardness penetration. The alloyed elements result in a production of high case hardening and strong tough core.

86L20 alloy also exhibits good welding qualities. The advantage as a leaded alloy steel grade, it would not take to sacrifice other desirable properties to improve machinability. However, it is not advisable to use the material for applications over 400o F since its ductility is low at elevated temperatures.

This leaded alloy steel grade can be great in many applications which include:

  • Spline shafts
  • Oil pump jigs
  • Pinions
  • Gauges
  • Plastic molds
  • Crankshafts
  • Gears
  • Ring gears

Reasons to Buy 86l20 Steel

86l20 has a number of benefits over other types of steel. It has a higher strength-to-weight ratio and is corrosion resistant. In addition, it can be cut with a laser without any damage to the surface. 86l20 steel is often used in applications that are exposed to harsh conditions such as marine, oil and gas drilling, and offshore construction. Plus, this type of steel is also commonly used in the aerospace industry for aircraft undercarriage components.

86l20 steel is the most popular structural steel in the world. It is used for a variety of building needs and can be found in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. It has been used for decades because of its durability and strength. There are many properties that make it an excellent choice for construction projects.

Why buy 86l20 Steel?

  • Strength: 86l20 has a yield strength of 280 MPa (50x greater than mild steel).
  • Durability: 86l20 is corrosion resistant and can withstand temperatures up to 300°C (570°F).
  • Cost: 86l20 costs less per kg than other types of structural steel.

Great 86l20 Steel Properties

86l20 steel is a type of high-strength low-alloy (HSLA) steel that has a yield strength of 86.4 MPa and tensile strength of 220 MPa. This type of steel has been used in many industrial applications, including automotive, aerospace, and construction. Also, the 86l20 steel properties are the result of its relatively low carbon content and high chromium content. The chromium content makes the material resistant to corrosion and oxidation. It also helps to improve the hardness and toughness of the material.

86l20 steel is a type of alloy steel that is used in the production of many different types of products. 86l20 steel properties are considered to be high-quality that have good corrosion resistance and strength.

86l20 Steel Properties:

-High strength and toughness

-Good corrosion resistance

-Good impact toughness

86l20 Steel Equivalent

The 86l20 steel is a type of steel with a carbon content of 0.3%. It is high-strength steel that has been used in the construction industry for many years. It has a carbon content of 0.3%. This means that 86l20 steel equivalent shares similar properties to the many sheets of steel, but it has been produced using different manufacturing processes and therefore may be harder or softer than the original.

86l20 steel equivalent has high corrosion resistance and good toughness. It can be used for both structural and non-structural applications. It is often used as a building material for bridges and skyscrapers. The 86l20 steel equivalent allows it to be more affordable and easier to work with in comparison to other types of steels.
